My morning started with the cat informing me that alarm clock had lost power during the night. The alarm didn't go off, but the cat jumping from the dresser to the bed, THUMP. From the nightstand to the bed, THUMP. Again from the dresser to the bed, THUMP. Finally from the pillow next to me to my head THUMP. I'm up! I'm up! I'm Late!!
One example of the shift, was this morning while scraping the ice away from the front door of the store. I was aware of what pleasure I was getting from separating the layer of ice from the walk way. Matter of fact I was getting real joy out of destroying the well spread layer of ice. I think that I could have continued scraping ice from the parking lot for at least a couple of hours. Then again my old back would have moaned really loudly!
Then when talking to the guys in Michigan I mentioned the squirrels that power the computer system at work...seem that using squirrels is either cutting edge technology..or just a the wild imaginings of an overworked buyer...trying to explain why an e-mail takes five minutes to arrive....What are you suppose to talk about with a total stranger when waiting for an e-mail?
On the way home in the snow (it must be noted that this is the second day in a row driving home in the snow) I noted that there is one section of the Poor Farm Road (do all towns have a Poor Farm Road) that the town is just not plowing ...is that because the people who live along that stretch of the road don't pay their taxes? Maybe they a ecologically minded and its bad for the earth to plow? Why aren't they complaining?
So now I'm home...dinner is done, dishes are washed, the man is sleeping while watching TV. Try changing the TV station if you don't think men can sleep and watch TV. Know what he can even snore and watch TV. The cat is laying in front of the screen in back of the keyboard..taking lessons on typing. Me I'm waiting for the 3/8" shift back to my regular existence....
